Beginner And Intermediate Needlepoint Classes
Beginner Classes:
Even if you have never had any experience, you too can needlepoint. Beginner stitches for completing a needlepoint canvas are available. Why not come with your daughter or granddaughter and learn together. The classes include three one hour sessions - classes will be held on Monday afternoons, beginning the first of each month. Please call to keep your place and to allow time to order the canvases.
Included in the class:
- A 13 mesh handpainted canvases chosen by the instructor.
- Sufficient fibers including wools and cottons.
- Stretcher bar, needle and needle threader.
- Printed instructions.
- A coupon for finishing when the project is completed at “A Step In Time”.
Intermediate Classes
This class requires the stitcher to have a good understanding of the basic stitches as more time will be spent on the teaching of fancy stitches.
Included in the class:
- All that is mentioned for the intermediate class with the exception being a more intricate canvas and fancier threads such as fuzzies, metalics, etc. (selected by the instructor).

There are finished projects to view at my shop – come and see what might inspire you.
We also have an area set up with a table and chairs where you can come whenever you like to work on your canvas project and converse with other stitchers. Kind of a “Stitch and Bitch” Club. You can look out the window which faces the water, watch the birds, and in the summer the sculls that race by. If you would like private lessons, please inquire re availability and price.
